| Shane Atkinson is a Senior Health & Safety Consultant with Impac. Shane has specialist skills in the areas of H&S Systems development, Accident Investigation and reporting, Hazard Identification & Management, Safety/HSE Case development and deployment, ACC Partnership Plan and WSMP pre-audit reviews. Shane has recently completed a number of high level safety reviews including Auckland Regional Council Environmental Services, Mighty River Power, Powerco Safety Plan, Industrial Research Ltd, Port of Napier systems review in wake of 2006 fatality, Fonterra Milk Transport Health and Safety processes review in wake of 2005 fatality.
Shane has a BE (Mechanical) degree and has attended various courses: RBI Lead Accident Investigators Training Course, Tripod Accident Causation Model• Accident Investigation, Change Management, Work Safety Analysis, Stress Management, Managing Safety, Management Development, Business Process Management & Development, Problem Solving & Decision Making, ACC HSE System Auditor. He has also presented a paper on “Using health and safety to improve workplace performance” in 2001.
He is affiliated with the New Zealand Farm Forestry Association and Federated Farmers.
