At Impac we believe safety starts at the top of an organisation –with its Board and Senior Management Team. As a result we have developed a number of products and services to help build safety capability at this level and to assist executives to understand the role they can play in driving safety performance within their business.

Executive coaching

Busy executives don’t need to be trained in the “nuts and bolts” of safety, but they need to be able to test their own understanding and develop their safety philosophy in a confidential and supportive environment.
Impac’s experienced directors run a range of bespoke workshops for executives that are designed to inform, engage and challenge current thinking in order to provide a platform for future growth.
Each workshop programme is developed around the needs of the team and can be fully customised, including the use of a safety culture survey to help understand current attitudes and beliefs towards safety.

Governance and assurance

Corporate governance is a critical issue for Boards of Directors as their decisions and actions come under increasing scrutiny from shareholders, analysts and regulators.
Health and safety/ operational risk is one area where we can help. Whether it is in developing meaningful leading and lagging indicators, conducting due diligence audits, running operational risk workshops or advising the Board on its obligations –we are here to help.

Safety Culture surveys

Safety culture has been described as the glue that holds a health and safety management system together. It is an essential ingredient along with safe equipment and robust systems. But how do you know what your culture is? Is there a single culture or does it vary by site division or level in the organisation? How do I change our culture?
We have access to a variety of safety culture survey tools, developed and validated by organisational psychologists that we can use to help you answer these questions.

Working with industry and other stakeholder groups

The Workplace Health and Safety Strategy identifies industry leadership as a key driver for improvements in safety performance. Best practice standards are increasingly being set by industry rather than the regulator.  We have worked with a variety of industry associations and other stakeholder groups in industries such as waste, mining and minerals to facilitate the development of strategies, guidelines and standards.
