John Preston



John Preston is a Trainer with Impac and has worked in various Industries in New Zealand and Australia, including Construction, Elevator Installing, Commissioning, and Servicing, Plant Installation and Commissioning, and Mining. The past 18 years worked in Australia, and spend 15 of those working around Mining. John has been deeply involved with implementing safety plans and managing safety during his experience managing sites. In an industry mistakes are very costly, where working at heights and confined spaces are normal, my goal has always been to get each person home each night. Project experience includes: Manager for New Zealand Operations, Elevator, and Building Controls company, implemented safety culture and changes, managed the profitability of company; Operations Manager for Building Management/Infrastructure Company; Western Australia State Manager, Building Management/Infrastructure Company, responsible for Company Profitability, Project Management, and opening up Greenfields sites in remote Northwest of WA, including Safety Plans and implementation for Greenfields sites and Training Consultant for a major training agency in Western Australia. John is a result oriented, hard working person, who enjoys to see a task through to completion within deadlines, budget constraints, and in a safe manner. Flexible and adaptable, with broad range skills, able to adapt easily and with accuracy to any task. John also has a high level of safety commitment and leadership, has a hands on approach to all tasks, and likes to lead from the top and guide and mentor those who follow the same work ethics.
