Course Overview
The 4 hour course will show you how to implement Health and Safety ensuring a safe workplace for you, your staff, your contractors and any visitors. Impac can provide this training FREE to all those eligible.
The course covers 4 key areas: - Hazard management
- Incident and accident investigation
- Emergency preparedness
- Information, training and supervision
Who Can Apply?
You can apply for a Workplace Safety Discount (WSD) if you are self employed or are an employer and:
- Your annual payroll is $450,000 or less OR you employ no more than ten (10) full time equivalent staff; and
- The type of work you do falls within one of the eligible classification unit numbers:
- You have done a training course in, or can show appropriate skills in the following:
- Hazard identification and management
- Injury and accident investigation
- Emergency readiness
- Training employees (if you’re and employer); and
- you agree to a possible on-site audit of your health and safety systems by an ACC-approved auditor; and
- you agree to complete an annual declaration to confirm your health and safety systems remain in place
